The Orange Volunteer Fire Association is proud to mark its 100th anniversary of service to the Town of Orange. To celebrate this milestone, the department has been honored with hosting the 142nd Annual Connecticut State Firefighters Association Convention, a three-day event bringing together fire departments, officials, and dignitaries from across Connecticut.

One of the highlight events will be a statewide firefighters parade on Sunday, September 14, 2025, featuring fire trucks, marching units, and bands from across the state.

Parade Details:

  • Line-Up: 8:00 AM
  • Parade Start: 12:00 PM
  • Route: The parade will start at Fred Wolfe Park (Hollow Road), travel east on Ridge Road, continue to Meetinghouse Lane, then turn south on Orange Center Road, ending at the High Plains Community Center. The route is approximately 1.5 miles long.

Road Closures:
To ensure public safety, the following roads will be closed to traffic from 11:50 AM until the parade concludes (no later than 3:00 PM):

“We’re honored to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone with our community and our fellow firefighters from across the state,” said [Fire Chief’s Name], Chief of the Orange Volunteer Fire Association. “We hope everyone will join us for a day full of tradition, pride, and community spirit.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the parade, and help us celebrate 100 years of dedication to protecting the Town of Orange.
