Amity Chamber to Host Orange First Selectman Debate: Zeoli vs Fitzmaurice

The Amity Chamber of Commerce will be holding the first Town of Orange First Selectman Debate of the 2025 election season on Tuesday, October 7th, at the University of New Haven - Orange Campus, 584 Derby Milford Road, Orange. Doors will open at 6:30 pm with the ninety-minute debate starting promptly at 7:00 pm.

Incumbent, First Selectman James M. Zeoli (R), and Daniel Fitzmaurice (D) have agreed to address questions focusing on their incoming administration's top priorities upon taking office, including economic development; town finances, spending, and taxes; business friendliness and readiness; and public engagement and quality of life.

Town of Orange residents, businesses, and Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to submit questions related to these topics to director@amityctchamber.com.
Barry Lee Cohen, CEO of the Amity Chamber, will serve as the debate moderator and said, "We thank both gentlemen for accepting the Chamber's invitation to what we expect to be a very informative and important forum for Orange voters to engage and ascertain the positions of both candidates. The Chamber also acknowledges the University of New Haven for serving as the debate's host sponsor and once again, demonstrating the strong partnership between the university and Chamber."
A live broadcast of the debate will be announced later this month.
