The Superintendent’s proposed budget for 2026-2027 was presented to the Amity Finance Committee and the Amity Board of Education throughout January, February, and March. In addition to presentations within the school district, the budget has been presented to the finance committees in all three town
The Rape Crisis Center of Milford is so excited to announce that our 19th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Event will take place on Sunday April 26th, 2026! Join us on 4/26/26 in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month as we Walk to show our support for survivors and raise awareness.
Vaughan Dumas, chief of the Orange Volunteer Fire Department, right, accepts a $1,000 check from the Regional Water Authority. “This is our way of giving back what we can,” said Nicoletta Blevins, government and community relations manager for the Regional Water Authority.


While the rain was heavy and the wind was strong, the outpouring of support was tremendous. What seemed like only a trickle of cars compared to last year, the arrivals were steady. So many thanks to our wonderful volunteers.

The Garden Club of Orange’s annual holiday luncheon, The Silver Tea, was held on December 12, 2023. As part of the civic nature of the event, donations from members were collected for and then the amount matched through the Club’s general fund with a total of $400 donated to the Orange Community


The countdown to kickoff has begun! Football fans everywhere are coming together to watch one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. And of course, this beloved American tradition isn’t complete without a winning lineup of game day snacks and a few cold beers with friends and family.


Civil Air Patrol CT Minuteman Squadron CT-073 along with Girl Scout Troop 60274 participated in the nationwide Wreaths Across America on 12/16/2023. They laid over 30 wreaths on veteran's graves at the Orange Cemetery on Orange Center Road.


The Orange Lions Club will provide a limited number of mini-grants to eligible community organizations and/or individuals in 2024. The program is intended to provide funds to worthy causes and activities in the town of Orange that might not otherwise be funded.


Per CGS 12-145, the second installment of the town tax on the 2022 Grand List of 1 October 2022 and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes are due and payable on 1 January 2024. Payments received after 1 February 2024 are considered delinquent and are subject to the rate of 18% per annum


Students at Orange Congregational Church Nursery School enjoyed their Christmas celebrations.


Lois Elaine Blackman, 86, peacefully passed away on November 17, 2023, at Waterbury Hospital, where she received kind care. A lifelong resident of Orange, Lois, the youngest of three siblings, grew up surrounded by love. Predeceased by her brothers Richard and Johnny, she dedicated years of service

For a service project, Girl Scouts of Troop 67216 made warm blankets for the Blanket Fairy Mission of the Orange Congregational Church.
