Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: Join the 19th Annual Milford Walk
The Rape Crisis Center of Milford is so excited to announce that our 19th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Event will take place on Sunday April 26th, 2026! Join us on 4/26/26 in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month as we Walk to show our support for survivors and raise awareness. Registration begins at 12:00pm and the Walk begins at 1:00pm. “Put Yourself In Her Shoes! Each year, an ever-increasing number of men, women and their families are joining the award-winning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. A Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to men’s sexualized violence against women.”

The individual and teams with the most funds raised, the individual wearing the highest heel, and the individual with the most creative outfit will be recognized for their dedication. Hear from empowering speakers, learn about our victim services and prevention education programs, and enjoy local refreshments. Although our work can handle some tough subjects, this is a day of community building and laughter, so please feel welcome to bring the whole family, your furry pals included! All support makes a difference.
The Rape Crisis Center of Milford provides free sexual assault victim services to survivors and their families. Last year, our agency served over 700 individuals, including 150 children, in addition to having provided thousands of local students with prevention education. Our vision is that there will be a zero tolerance for sexual violence and no stigma attached to victims. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is our biggest fundraising event of the year, and every dollar raised goes towards keeping our services FREE of charge for survivors and their families.
