On a daily basis, I see it all: knee pain, ankle and foot pain, back pain, and general difficulty moving. You know what all those issues have in common—your hips. If you walk into my office, I guarantee that any lower body or core issue you complain of will require us to take a look at your hips.
Orange Senior Center will host the 22nd Health and Safety Fair on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm at High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange. This fair is geared to older adults, service professionals, caregivers, family members, and others concerned with aging
Select students from Orange have been named to the Spring 2025 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.


The students and staff of The Peck Place School gathered together to honor our veterans who fought and served for our country. Veterans related to students and staff were treated to refreshments and a musical event which included the voices of all students from grades 1-6.


In an effort to stem the tide of teachers leaving the district and to support teacher retention, the Amity Board of Education and the Teachers Union have agreed to an unprecedented 13.5% salary increase spread over the next three school years.

Jillian Barnes, Captain of the Amity Girls Basketball team, organized a Lyman Orchard’s Pie fundraiser with her teammates and collected and donated 18 pies to the Orange Community Services Holiday Giving Program. Thank you, Jillian, for your kindness – it does matter!

After winning the Northern Connecticut Pop Warner and New Egland Regional Championships, the 21 players from Woodbridge, Bethany, and Orange are heading to the Pop Warner Super Bowl Nationals being held December 2-8, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.


Amity Youth Lacrosse has opened registration for our 2024 Winter Clinic and 2024 Spring Season. The mission of Amity Youth Lacrosse is to develop an understanding of the sport of lacrosse and promote physical fitness and a sense of pride through teamwork, team spirit, strong sportsmanship


Jeffrey Levison, chair of Temple Emanuel of Greater New Haven’s annual turkey collection program, stands among the turkeys being gathered by Temple members. This is the 22nd year for the turkey drive. Last year, the temple donated 93 turkeys to New Haven’s Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen.


All are welcome to attend our Christmas Eve services on Sunday, December 24th, at 10:30am and 5:00pm! Our morning service will offer nursery care and Children’s Church available for babies through 6th grade. Our evening service will be a family-friendly service and include a children’s book


Our Social Action Committee collects pull tabs from soda cans for the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven. The house hosts families of children who are being cared for at Yale New Haven Hospital and allows families to stay close to their children during hospitalization.


I write to provide information for you to share with the Orange Connecticut Veterans concerning this year’s National CAP Wreaths Across America campaign to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

Orange voters on November 7 affirmed First Selectman Jim Zeoli and the whole Republican ticket in municipal elections. The town leadership will look very similar to what it has been for the last several years, with a few exceptions.


As time marches on, the history of the Town of Orange depends on those of us who keep learning about it and in some instances, as with my column, put it into writing. The one part of Orange that seems to be a mystery within the citizenry is Tyler City, so named by two New Haven entrepreneurs
