Holiday Closing
The Library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. The Library will reopen on Wednesday, November 12 at 10 A.M.

American Mah Jongg for Beginners
Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
American Mah Jongg club for players of all skill levels. These sessions are intended for players who are familiar with American Mah Jongg as instruction is not provided.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own American Mah Jongg set and official Mah Jongg card. The Library also has a limited number of Mah Jongg sets and cards to use during open play.
Games are non-betting as gambling is not allowed in the library. Registration is required. Click here to register.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Join us for the Friends of the Library's spring book sale. There are books for all ages, DVDs, music, and specialty displays, The “One-of-a-Kind-Finds” table, back by popular demand, will be stocked with a variety of topics.
Cash or check only. We are unable to accept credit cards. Please bring your own bags.

Astronaut Storytime
Saturday, November 8, 10:30 a.m.
Celebrate 25 years of missions to the International Space Station! We’ll learn about how you eat in space and even make our own astronaut friendly snack.

Take and Make: Autumn Quilt
Week of November 10
Make a fall-themed paper quilt, then bring it back to the library for us to hang up!
No registration required, kits are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Life of a Showgirl Listening Party
Monday, November 10, 6 p.m
Add a sparkly TLOAS decal to your own tee or tote*, make friendship bracelets and buttons, vote in album and song brackets, enjoy themed mocktails and sourdough at our The Life of a Showgirl listening party!
*Please bring your own tee or tote to participate in the decal craft. All other supplies will be provided.
This event is open to all ages but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We will not be playing the "E" versions of songs.

Jane Austen's 250th Birthday Tea

Celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday with tea, refreshments, and a Regency-era presentation by Christina Volpe of The Barnes Museum in Southington, featuring period artifacts, historical insights, and period costume - offering a vivid glimpse into Austen's world and its American parallels.

High School Volunteer Club

For high school students entering grades 9-12.
Earn community service hours at our high school volunteer club. Volunteers can work on special projects or train to become a volunteer shelf reader. Registration is recommended but drop-ins are welcome if space permits. Click here to register.

For teens grades 7-12.
Come try out the newest BookTok trend and make your favorite book sparkle! Bring your own hardcover or paperback book and use gem diamond art techniques to bedazzle your book cover. All bedazzling materials will be provided.

Free book box service for adults.
Each month that you register you will pick up a box containing two hand-selected books for you to borrow as well as some other surprises for you to keep. After registering, you should receive a confirmation email with a link to a Google Form. Please be sure to complete this form to finalize your registration and personalize your book box.
Please note: You must register and complete the form each month you wish to receive a book box.
In order to receive your box, you must complete a brief form about your reading preferences so we can make your book selections. Please complete this form by November 12.
