Or Shalom Welcomes New Rabbi with Open House Events

Congregation Or Shalom is thrilled to celebrate the arrival of its new spiritual leader, Rabbi Lindsey Healy-Pollack, with a packed weekend of events for all ages. As a lifelong learner, Rabbi Lindsey is inspired by the Jewish tradition’s values of inquiry, asking questions, and discussion. “Jewish community and tradition should be accessible to all,” Healy-Pollack said. “With curiosity and creativity, I hope to help everyone to discover their unique personal connection to Judaism, regardless of their background or abilities.”

The Open House weekend kicks off on Friday September 5 th at 7pm with Shabbat at the Orange Gazebo at High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Rd (Rain location, Congregation Or Shalom, 205 Grassy Hill Road). Bring your lawn chair and family, friends, pets, or come on your own to experience Or Shalom’s warm, welcoming community.

Experience a special service led by Rabbi Healy-Pollack at the synagogue at 9:30 am on Saturday September 6 th, with simultaneous programming for kids, and learn more about the wealth of programs Or Shalom offers for both congregants and the wider community.

Open House weekend concludes on Sunday September 7 th at 9 a.m. with Minyan and Mimosas, co-sponsored by our Men’s Club and Sisterhood, followed by a delicious breakfast.
