Or Shalom to Host Yom Kippur Yizkor Memorial Service

On Yom Kippur, September 21, 2026, there will be a community Yizkor memorial service at Congregation Or Shalom beginning at 4:00 PM. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Yizkor, a Hebrew word meaning "Remember," is not only the opening word of the prayer but also its central theme. This prayer serves to recall the souls of deceased relatives and friends. It is said four times during the year: the last day of Passover, the second day of Shavuot, Shemini Atzeret, and Yom Kippur.
