Obituary: Dr. Pang-Hsung Wang

Dr. Pang-Hsung Wang, 85, of Milford, beloved husband of Mei-Lee (Pan) Wang, passed away on March 10, 2026 just 3 days before his 86th birthday. He was born on March 13, 1940 and originally from Taipei, Taiwan.
Dr. Wang graduated from Taipei Medical University in 1968 and emigrated to the US to further his medical training. He completed his internship at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland Ohio (now part of Cleveland Clinic), residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury and his pulmonary fellowship at Laurel Heights Hospital in Shelton. He opened his primary care private practice in Milford in July 1976. Throughout his 43 years of practice, he was an active attending physician at Milford Hospital. He was a member of the Milford Medical Society, Chairman of the Milford Hospital Infection Control Committee, served on the hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and on the Board of Directors for Homecare Plus Agency. He loved his profession and provided high quality, compassionate care to several generations of patients. Upon his retirement, the Mayor of Milford proclaimed June 28, 2019 as Dr. Pang H Wang Day “in recognition and deep appreciation for his distinguished service to the community”. Although he cherished his career, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a doting father and grandfather. He also enjoyed swimming, golfing and bowling. He loved Long Island Sound and enjoyed spending time on his boat or just looking out at the water every day.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children Tom Wang, Susan Wang, and Seaver Wang (Julia); grandchildren Alexa Beeks, Max Beeks and Benjamin Beeks, Taylor Wang, Hamilton Wang, and Theodore Wang, brother Hsing Hsung Wang (Yung-Hsin); and several nieces and nephews.
