Science Heroes Presents: The Adventure of the Missing Color

Teen Take & Make Food Kit: Edible Cookie Dough
Pick-up begins July 14
For teens entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
Make your own edible cookie dough with this tasty take-home food kit. Most supplies will be provided. You must supply milk, basic baking tools, and an oven. Registration is required. Click here to register.

High School Volunteer Club
Tuesday, July 15, 2 p.m.
For high school students entering grades 9-12.
Earn community service hours at our high school volunteer club. Volunteers can work on special projects or train to become a volunteer shelf reader. Registration is recommended but drop-ins are welcome if space permits.

Teen Summer Movie Series: Five Nights at Freddy’s
Thursday, July 17, 2 p.m
For teens entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
A troubled security guard begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. During his five nights on the job, he realizes that something is wrong with the pizzeria and pretty soon finds the truth about its animatronics. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Clay Nature Fossils

Oscar Film: Nickel Boys
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, “Nickel Boys” chronicles the powerful friendship between two young African-American men navigating the harrowing trials of reform school together in Florida.

Craft Workshop: Needle Felt Painting
Monday, July 28, 6:30 p.m
This workshop is for adults and teens entering grades 9-12 in the fall.
Create a needle-felted landscape painting with wool roving, wool felt, and needle felting tools at this hands-on craft workshop. Workshop guided by Librarian Rebecca Harlow.

Jigsaw Puzzle Competition
Saturday, August 2, 11 a.m
Teams of four to six will compete to see who can finish a 500-piece puzzle first or who has the fewest remaining pieces after 2 hours.
Registration for this event is by telephone only. Please call the Library to register beginning July 14. Please be prepared with the names of your team members and a team name. Single participants and groups of 3 or fewer will be matched with other participants to form teams of four to six.
This competition is geared toward adults and teens in grades 7 and up. Younger participants may register if accompanied by an adult.
This event is generously sponsored by Ravensburger.
Summer Baby Playtime & Family Storytime

Summer Baby Playtime
Tuesdays until August, 10:30 a.m.
Come to the library for a baby playtime! Babies up to 24 months can join us and our toy collection in the meeting room for some baby-safe toy fun and social interaction.
Registration is NOT required.

Family Storytime
Wednesdays until August, 10:30 a.m.
Join us for storytime! This program is primarily for children birth - 5 years, but siblings are more than welcome.

Ban This Book Club: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
Monday, August 11, 7 p.m.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl was the sixth most-challenged book of 2024, according to ALA, with 30 formal challenges. It was one of the most banned books in schools in the 2023-2024 school year, with 42 bans across 10 states.
