Is your clutter taking over, but you’re just not sure where to start, and you are concerned about the environmental impact of decluttering?
Join Lauren Hass, Certified Professional Organizer and owner of Clutter Kicker, for an informative and motivating session that combines practical organization techniques with eco-friendly resources and solutions. This presentation will inspire you to tackle clutter sustainably, making your life less overwhelming and the world a little greener.

Preschool Playtime

Come play at our homemade obstacle course designed just for preschoolers! We'll build with blocks, go through tunnels, and jump in and out of hula hoops while going around and around.

Crochet Club

The Hooked on the Sound (HOTS) Crochet Guild is a non-profit group of enthusiastic crocheters in New Haven county. HOTS meets monthly to share stitch successes, assist with pattern problems, education, and generally having a great time crocheting! Bring any crochet project you are working on or one you may need help with.
All skill levels are welcome. Please bring your own supplies.

Join us for the Friends of the Library's spring book sale. There are books for all ages, DVDs, music, and specialty displays, The “One-of-a-Kind-Finds” table, back by popular demand, will be stocked with a variety of topics.

Teen Summer Reading Kickoff: Video Game Club & Bookish Craft
Friday, June 13, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
For teens entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
Come down for an after-hours summer reading kickoff event of casual gaming and #booktok crafts with your friends! Try out some classic game systems, battle it out in Smash Bros, or explore with the Meta Quest VR headsets in our Meeting Room.
Make a variety of viral #booktok bookmarks in our Teen Space.
Register for our teen summer reading program at the event to earn a special registration prize and extra raffle ticket for our grand prize drawing.
Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Summer Reading Kickoff: Level Up Quest

Let’s get the summer started with a special library quest! Come and complete the five levels, and the first 48 kids will get a prize bag.
This is a drop in program that will be lasting all day, no registration required. If you are entering seventh grade or higher, please join the teen program downstairs! Anyone younger is welcome to join us.

Ban This Book Club: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Monday, June 9, 7 p.m.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower was the third most-challenged book of 2024, according to ALA, with 35 formal challenges. It was the third most-banned book in schools in the 2023-2024 school year, with 85 bans across 11 states. Challenges include claims of being sexually explicit, LGBTQIA+ content, depiction of sexual assault, depiction of drug use, and profanity.
Join us as we discuss this as a work of literature as well as an object of censorship. Discussion led by Librarian Rebecca Harlow.

Concert: Back to Bacharach

Take the journey back in time, "Say a Little Prayer," and join these fantastic musicians as they pay homage to one of the most prolific songwriters of 20th century popular music.
The Christine Spero Group, a quintet, consists of Christine Spero on piano and vocals, Peter O'Brien on drums, Steve Rust on bass, Chris Pasin on trumpet, and Elliot Spero on sax and percussion.
