The Orange Chamber of Commerce Health and Fitness Expo will kick off the New Year, on Saturday, January 11th, at the Courtyard by Marriott, 136 Marsh Hill Road from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Expo is free and open to the public.

Mary L. Tracy School, Town of Orange, is now open for kindergarten registration. Mary L. Tracy School is home to all kindergarten students in the Town of Orange. If you are a resident of Orange and your child is turning five on or before September 1, 2025, it is time to register for kindergarten.


David Allan French, 80, of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. David was born on February 3, 1944, in Bridgeport, CT and was the son of the late Earl French and Ruth Duncan.


More than 1,000 students are concluding their first semester at Eastern Connecticut State University this fall 2024. The new students include 808 first-time and 275 transfer students who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate-level programs.


At this time of the year the Board begins work on the 2025-2026 budget. The first step was a special late November meeting for presentations by the various departments of their estimated needs for the 2025-2026 school year. These are submitted to the Superintendent so that she may prepare her budget


Congregation Orange Collaborative (COC) held a Pop the Trunk Food Collection on December 8th at High Plains Community Center. The event was to support about 40 children in Orange who are food insecure. They get fruit and milk weekly and monthly they receive a back pack of non-perishable food too.


On Tuesday, January 7 at 7:00 pm, the Zoom program Pre-Civil War Quilts: The Secret Codes to Freedom on the Underground Railroad will be hosted by the Friends of Case Memorial Library.


Orange Youth Services has proudly announced the purchase of a drug board for the Orange Police Department as part of its ongoing commitment to addressing substance abuse and promoting community well-being. The board was purchased through prevention funding through the State of Connecticut Opioid Re

There are over 110 miles of streets in the Town of Orange. Snow removal can cost up to $2,500.00 per hour. Therefore, it is important for the Department of Public Works to use its resources wisely with cooperation from the residents to minimize the cost.
