Walking Balance with Sacred Heart

Hiking Group

Marianne and Judy will lead us in a 2 mile-ish, 1 hour walk every Thursday at 10am (9am from July, Aug, & Sept). Meet at the location of the hike. Bad weather cancels. No dogs please.

Memoir Writing

We all have a story to tell. Isn’t it about time you wrote yours? Trish O’Leary Treat leads this writing memoir workshop. She has co-authored “Grave Matters”, a play about people in the Orange cemetery and has written profiles of town residents for the Milford–Orange Times. Bereavement Group

Griffin Hospital Blood Pressure Check

Maggie of Griffin Hospital will be here the last Friday of the month, in the café, November 17 from 10:30-12:00pm to take your blood pressure. Stop by for this free clinic.

Summer Concerts on the Fairgrounds

Join us on select Thursdays this summer at the High Plains Community Center fairgrounds for various musical performance. Come early for the Farmers’ Market (3-7:00pm) and stay for the concert (6-8:00pm). Free admittance and free parking. Shows run 6-8:00pm.

TRIPS

Sunday, June 23, 2024: CEMETERY CLUB - NEWPORT PLAYHOUSE Lobsterfest. The show is The Cemetery Club. Three widows: Ida, Doris, and Lucille meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. Sam the butcher meets the widows, while visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam & Ida. Meal choice is 1 1/4lb Boiled Lobster or Oven Roasted Chicken. Cost is $189pp with transportation. This is a Lilly’s Tours Trip. (minimal walking).
