Mary L. Tracy's New Playground Communication Board

Mary L. Tracy School has introduced a new playground communication board. The goal for this project is to increase inclusivity to all students and help them express their needs and emotions in a socially appropriate manner.  It also promotes understanding, empathy and kindness to all kids at MLT. It will allow children with limited verbal communication to express their thoughts and needs with peers when speech generating devices are not practical, like on the playground. This allows increased experiences for both verbal and nonverbal students.

Thank you to the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation (Judy Primavera and Fred Hulley), PTO (Reps. Lindsay Quinn, Christine Weaver and Charlie) and the Kindergarten Class of 2024 for their kind contributions, and Jen Grabel our Speech Language Pathologist for Making It Happen!
