Fire Safety Visit at Holly Hill Childcare Sparks Fun Learning
The children of Holly Hill Childcare & Learning Center enjoyed a first hand experience on fire safety thanks to our Orange Volunteer Fire Department.
The firefighters demonstrated fire equipment as our eager students climbed up on the fire engine and learned that firefighters are real people who want to help and never to be afraid of them and never, ever panic and hide! Firefighter Lisa Kaplan spoke to the children about having a “safe meeting place” in front of their home/driveway if ever a fire. Volunteer Fireman Scott Horwitz and his son, Ben demonstrated the “Stop, Drop & Roll” exercise.
We wish to thank all the volunteers for visiting our students during October Fire Safety Awareness month and for the bright red fire hats that were given to each student!
