Representatives of BL Companies, the consultant that reviewed traffic safety and other issues at Fred Wolfe Park, recently updated the public on their preliminary findings at the Jan. 24 meeting of the Orange Parks and Recreation Commission.


The goal of balancing Town needs with taxpayer affordability is a challenging one. In my view, one of the requirements of being a member of the Orange Board of Finance (OBOF) is to inform the public. In fact, I consider this an obligation of this elected position.

Per CGS 12-145, the second installment of the town tax on the 2022 Grand List of 1 October 2022 and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes are due and payable on 1 January 2024. Payments received after 1 February 2024 are considered delinquent and are subject to the rate of 18% per annum

The Orange Economic Development Corporation (OEDC) presented the Orange Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD) a donation in the amount of $3,750 at the OEDC’s December 14th Executive Committee meeting. The funds are proceeds from the OEDC’s annual golf tournament held in September.
