Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester. Among them is full-time student Natalie Garcia of Orange, a sophomore who majors in Pre-Social Work. To qualify for Dean’s List, full-time students must complete a minimum


The Orange Foundation has recently awarded $35,000 in community grants that benefit a wide range of groups in Orange. These awards include the full funding of the refurbishing the sidewalk between Town Hall and High Plains Community Center out of the O’Sullivan fund.


James Madison University is pleased to announce that the following Orange students made the Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester: Brynn Weirsman who is majoring in Architectural Design – BFA; and Annika Lyngdal, who is majoring in Health Sciences - BS.


Mary L. Tracy School has introduced a new playground communication board. The goal for this project is to increase inclusivity to all students and help them express their needs and emotions in a socially appropriate manner. It also promotes understanding, empathy and kindness to all kids at MLT.


Brooke Matyasovsky, Master Business Administration graduated from Carson-Newman University at the conclusion of the institution’s Spring Semester.


The Amity Board of Education would like to thank the support of the community for the successful passage of the 2024-2025 Amity Regional School District Budget. The final vote count across the three towns was 979 in favor and 407 against. Additionally, each town individually approved the budget.


This year we are pleased to announce to the following students who have received the SCASA Student Recognition Award for 2024: Principal Kathy Burke, Sophia Gaudet, Ethan Parks, and Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Byars.


Orange student Molly Kovar was recently honored as a winner in the 19th Annual eesmarts ™ Student Contest. Presented by Energize Connecticut℠ in partnership with Eversource and Avangrid subsidiaries, United Illuminating, Southern Connecticut Gas and Connecticut Natural Gas, the eesmarts


Anna Varholak, a member of Stonehill College’s Class of 2026 from Orange, CT, was recently honored at the institution’s Student Life Awards, held Sunday, April 28, 2024. Each year, this program celebrates campus community members for their outstanding contributions to the betterment of Stonehill.


Many of us were deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved classmate and class president, Francis J. Erba (Fran). In his memory, a group of classmates is proposing the creation of the Francis J. Erba Scholarship Fund.
