Riley Palazzo of Orange, Connecticut, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Palazzo was initiated at the University of Maine.


Amity Middle School Orange 8th grade students and teachers recently sponsored their annual Ray's Box of Socks collection. Socks were collected at all Amity Regional No 5 schools, plus the Racebrook elementary school and the Goddard school. Through their combined efforts, 1,779 pairs of socks


Connecticut author and storyteller Matthew Dicks will visit the Amity Regional High School library next week to present two master classes in the art of storytelling.


Emilia Steinbrick of Orange, CT, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Steinbrick was initiated at Sacred Heart University.


Orange Youth Services will choose (3) graduating seniors, who live in Orange, to be awarded $1,000 each toward their continuing education. Students will be chosen based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, volunteer involvement & future endeavors.


On March 11, 2024, the Amity Board of Education adopted a proposed budget for the 2024-2025 school year that is a 3.49% increase over the current year budget. This Board adopted budget is lower than the budget approved by the Amity Finance Committee on February 26, 2024.

The Orange Historical Society invites your students to apply for a scholarship in memory of Chance Thompson, a remarkable student who was dedicated to the history of her local town.


The 3s and 4s preschool classes and 5s kindergarten readiness class at OCNS had their friendship food drive this month. Students delivered the collected food to the Orange Food Bank.
